Bausch + Lomb exhibit at RCOphth 2019

20-23rd May 2019 – Bausch + Lomb showcased their surgical portfolio during the annual Royal College of Ophthalmologists meeting at the SEC in Glasgow.

Bausch + Lomb’s new exhibition stand design featured an interactive table providing the opportunity for delegates to scroll through the product portfolio and enabling information to be shared at the touch of a button. The comfortable seating area created the ideal spot for delegates to charge their phones and catch up over a cup of coffee!

Bausch + Lomb also sponsored the RCO sustainability prize for the third year running and presented at the sustainability event on the topic of the role of ophthalmologists and industry.

With the increasing demand for eye services both at the local and global level, Bausch + Lomb are working in partnership with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare to drive the development of sustainable ophthalmic services. The 2019 sustainability prize was awarded to Mr Simon Kelly for his project entitled “Thematic analysis of treatment naïve wAMD patients in NHS hospitals. Qualitative lessons from the LUMINOUS study”. Mr Kelly’s work focused on the sustainability of services to treat age related macular degeneration in Europe. Competition was high this year with 198 abstracts submitted for consideration. Congratulations to Mr Kelly and all the entries for their great work.
