Primary criteria for effective disinfection are defined as a reduction in the number of bacteria by a minimum of 3 logs (99.9%) and a reduction in the number of mold and yeast by a minimum of 1 log (90%) within the recommended disinfection time. 2. 2006 clinical study to evaluate the product performance of renu fresh (ReNu MultiPlus MultiPurpose Solution) used by with 237 patients (14 Eye Care Practitioners) wearing silicone hydrogel contact lenses on a daily wear basis. Patients were asked to complete a Subject Assessment Form to rate their experience with their assigned study regimen. Patients were asked to rate 12 statements, regarding their experience during the study using a scale where a “1” represented the least favorable rating (subject strongly disagreed) and a “6” represented the most favorable rating (subject strongly agreed). 76% of patients agreed that renu fresh “Makes Eyes Feel Moist Throughout the Day” was 76%.
